Making it “Smart”
The real magic happens when you stop walking across the deck to hit a switch. By adding a Wi-Fi or Zigbee relay, you can connect the heater to your home hub. A Few Things to Watch Out For
Nothing is perfect. Because these heaters hit full power instantly, they can cause a massive spike in electricity. If you turn on four of them at the exact same millisecond, you might just pop a breaker. The fix is easy: just program a “staggered start” in your app. Let them kick in one by one. One last thing—IP55 is great, but it isn’t a submarine. These aren’t waterproof. If you live somewhere with heavy, driving rain, make sure you’ve got a decent roof or canopy over them. Keep them dry, and they’ll take care of you.
