It’s the old-school way: you heat the air, and then you hope that air heats your part. It’s slow. It’s clunky.&#xA;We do things differently. We use gold-reflector infrared (IR) bulbs. Instead of messing around with the air, the IR radiation hits the &lt;a href=&#34;https://o-yate.com&#34;&gt;substrate&lt;/a&gt; directly. It’s a straight shot.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;Why the gold?&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Most people use aluminum reflectors, but here&amp;rsquo;s the problem: aluminum soaks up too much energy. Gold is different. It bounces back over 98% of that infrared radiation.&#xA;It turns the heat into a tight, focused beam. You get way more heat density right where you need it—on the wafer—without having to crank up the power bill.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The &amp;ldquo;Lag&amp;rdquo; Problem&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;If you&amp;rsquo;ve ever used a hot air system, you know the frustration of thermal inertia. You change the &lt;a href=&#34;https://o-yate.net&#34;&gt;temperature&lt;/a&gt; setting and then&amp;hellip; you wait. You wait for the whole chamber to catch up. It&amp;rsquo;s a drag.&#xA;IR bulbs don&amp;rsquo;t do that. There&amp;rsquo;s almost zero lag. You flip the switch, and you&amp;rsquo;re at your target temperature in seconds. It makes your cycle times plummet and frees up a ton of space on your floor.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The Catch (Because there&amp;rsquo;s always one)&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Now, I won&amp;rsquo;t tell you this is a &lt;a href=&#34;https://goldisgood.com&#34;&gt;magic&lt;/a&gt; wand for every single line. High-intensity IR is powerful, and that means you have to be careful.&#xA;Because those gold reflectors focus the heat so well, you can accidentally create hot spots if your distance is off. You can&amp;rsquo;t just &amp;ldquo;wing it.&amp;rdquo; Your mounting brackets need to be spot-on, down to the millimeter. Too close, and you&amp;rsquo;ll fry the part. Too far, and you&amp;rsquo;re back to square one.&#xA;To keep things safe, we usually pair this with a PID controller and some fast-response sensors. It stops the temperature from overshooting, so you don&amp;rsquo;t risk cracking the substrate while still getting that &lt;a href=&#34;https://henruite.com&#34;&gt;insane&lt;/a&gt; speed.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
